Dream

Ahead I saw ten rows of flowers
And a hummingbird who sang to me
As I crossed a river and then a sea.
And thereupon a rock I stood,
As clouds of dreams floated by
Like lily pads who've broke their ties.
And all around a song did rise
Of birth and death and of a need
For an end to every beginning.
Soon the green slipped away
Like oils on canvas, without delay
I began to follow her, blindly.
In the wake, I was not the only one spared
And pain walked hand in hand
With unborn tears.
