Falling

Fill my eyes with clouds
so that I may dream of horses
flying across the sky.
Lend my your ears
so that I may hear horns
singing in the morning.
Let my feet feel dew
as I walk through gardens
and over meadows.

Bring me back home
so that I may long of travels
and passages through the ground.
Keep me from the edge,
I don't want to fall off
and scream for eternity.
Try not to push me
as a titter on the brink
of choices that defy me.

Don't let me fall
into ponds, for calm waters
masquerade during the night.
Can you remember those nights
under the moon it seems like
nothing, but which way was the switch.
Which way did you die that night,
did your killer stab you in the back
as you lied about your bed, naked.

Ten thousand men fought that day,
Not one knew who was charging,
But they followed, as men tend to do.
